eLearning

Mount Lilydale Mercy College has embraced eLearning with a 1:1 ratio of laptops to students program. In Years 7 and 8, students receive a Chromebook and from Year 9 students use a MacBook Air. Students and staff also receive a G Suite for Education account which gives them access to a suite of productivity tools developed by Google for classroom collaboration and productivity. The core products include Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Classroom.

These tools enable and support the breadth of effective professional practice of teachers as well as equitable access to learning tools for students that support innovation and differentiation.

Learning and Teaching

Students develop eLiteracy by creating opportunities for self-directed, independent and collaborative learning. This encourages students to cultivate skills using a variety of physical and electronic information resources to inquire, analyse, interpret and construct knowledge, ask informed questions and hone their critical thinking.

Learning Environments

Equipping both physical and virtual classrooms, the College is integrating both curriculum and traditional library materials with progressive eLearning and information services to create exciting learning environments.
